BENEFIT BASE — GENERAL
Owner/Annuitant as well as the spouse under the life option must be age 85 or younger at the time this rider is elected. This rider provides : 1) Protected lifetime periodic withdrawals for owner/Annuitant (and your spouse if the life option is selected) up to the Protected Annual Income amount which is based upon a Protected Income Base. 2) An Enhancement amount added to the Protected Income Base. 3) Account Value Lock of the Protected Income Base to the Contract Value if the Contract Value is equal to or greater than the Protected Income Base after an Enhancement.
BENEFIT BASE — WITHDRAWAL
The amounts of the withdrawals are based upon specified percentages of an Protected Income Base. Two options are available,so owner/annuitant decide which option is best suited to their needs. Option 1 may be appropriate if owner/Annuitant would like lower initial income with higher income once the Contract Value reaches zero. Comparatively, Option 2 will provide a higher initial income with lower income once the Contract Value reaches zero.
