Description:
The AmeriSet is a Single Premium Deferred Annuity with a Market Value Adjustment. The minimum initial contribution is $5,000. During the first policy year, earned interest may be withdrawn. There are several surrender schedules based on rate term chosen. Surrender charges are waived in the event of confinement to a Nursing Home. Contract form series 17000. IRAs/qualified plans are already tax deferred. Withdrawals may result in federal income tax, and a 10% IRS penalty tax before age 59 1/2. There is a 30 day window at the end of each guarantee period that allows access to part or all of the accumulated funds.
