Description:
Allianz Benefit Control is a limited flexible premium deferred index annuity with a market value adjustment. The minimum single premium is $20,000 for qualified and non-qualified money. Additional premium payments can be made of min $25 during the first 18 months only. Surrender charges are 10 years in duration (may vary with state availability); and are waived in the event of death, or entrance into a nursing home. The Flexible Withdrawal Rider is an optional rider which, if elected at an extra cost, allows access to a one-time lump-sum payment in any amount up to the accumulation value if admitted to an eligible nursing home, hospital, or assisted living care facility for at least 30 out of 35 consecutive days. An additional nursing home / hospital benefit is also an option at no additional cost. The PIV (Protected Income Value) rider provides guaranteed lifetime income withdrawals based on the protected income value. The AIM benefit (Allianz Income Multiplier) allows for doubling annual maximum income withdrawal if confined to an eligible nursing home, hospital, or assisted living facility for at least 90 days out of 120, or if unable to perform at least two of six activities of daily living. The bonus is a Premium bonus credited to the PIV and there are two interest bonus choices that are credited to the PIV. Withdrawals and taxable distributions may be subject to ordinary income tax and if made prior to age 59 1/2, may also be subject to a 10% federal additional tax.
