The Flex II s a Flexible Premium Deferred Annuity with a market value adjustment. The initial minimum contribution is $2,000 qualified and $10,000 non-qualified. 10% of the contract value may be withdrawn beginning after the first policy year. Systematic withdrawals are also an option. Surrender charges are ten years in duration (15,14,13,12,11,10,8,6,4,2) and are waived in the event of annuitization, death, or entrance into a nursing home. Withdrawals may be subject to Federal/State income tax, and if taken prior to age 59 1/2, a 10% Federal Penalty tax. Guarantees based on claims paying ability of insurer.
