The Bonus Flex is a Flexible Premium Deferred Annuity. The minimum initial contribution is $5,000 for qualified and non-qualified funds. Additional contributions can be made for a minimum of $100. 10% of the annuity value may be withdrawn annually without a withdrawal charge. Systematic withdrawal is an option. There are eight years of surrender charges that are waived in the event of death. Withdrawals and taxable distributions may be subject to ordinary income tax and if made prior to age 59 1/2, may also be subject to a 10% federal income tax penalty.
