Lifetime Plus 8 Benefit
Benefit protects investments from unfavorable market performance through annual benefit payments until life of the owner. Payment increases are automatic and are based upon increases in contract value, adjustment for excess withdrawals. Contract value will fluctuate as performance of investment options; it will decrease on a dollar for dollar basis with each Lifetime Plus Payment and cumulative withdrawal. Withdrawals are not allowed after exercise of this benefit. Owner can not exercise this benefit before age 65. Owner can elect to receive Lifetime Plus Payments on annual, semi-annual, quarterly, monthly or semi-monthly basis. Monthly and semi-monthly payments are available through electronic transfer of funds. An 8% annual increase applies starting on or after the covered personâs 60th birthday - or the younger covered personâs 65th birthday - and continues until the earliest of the following: the contract anniversary 20 years after the increase begins, or the benefit start date. Lifetime Plus Payment for age 65-79 is 5% and 6% for age 80 and above.
