8-Year Guaranteed Principal Protection

Benefit is only available in conjunction with Guaranteed Lifetime Withdrawal Benefit Plus. Issuer will issue a guaranteed principal protection rider at the time the GLWB Plus rider is issued. With this rider, if withdrawals have not been taken during the first 8 rider years and owner elects to exercise the benefit, Issuer guarantees that the contract value at the end of the eight-year term will not be less than it was at the beginning of the 8-year term. Initial benefit base is equal to initial purchase payment, thereafter increased by the purchase payments made within six months from contract issue. If Issuer adds rider on a subsequent contract anniversary, initial benefit base will be equal to current contract value. If benefit is exercised, GLWB Plus rider, any Premium Protection or Premium Protection Plus riders and any deferral credit rider will terminate. Effective Dec 03, 2012, Guaranteed principal protection rider with GLWB Plus - joint life is no longer available.
