BENEFIT BASE — GENERAL
The Benefit Base (BB) at contract issue, is equal to initial contribution and will increase or decrease, as follows: (1) benefit base increases by additional contributions; (2) benefit base decreases by the dollar amount of withdrawals; (3) benefit base may be further decreased if a withdrawal is taken in excess of withdrawal amount; (4) benefit base may also be increased under the optional step up provision; and (5) benefit base may also be increased under the one time step up applicable with the Beneficiary continuation option.
